Dr Hilary Thomson
Hilary is the Principal Investigator of the SWiM guideline project. Hilary has extensive experience in conducting large complex reviews of questions about the health impacts of social policy interventions such as housing, transport, and welfare. Hilary is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow and is co-ordinating editor of Cochrane Public Health. Her work focusses on ways to improve the reliability and utility of systematic reviews that address public health policy relevant questions.
Mhairi Campbell
Mhairi is lead researcher and Co-Investigator on the SWiM guideline project. Mhairi works within the Informing Healthy Public Policy team, at the Social and Public Health Sciences Unit at the University of Glasgow. Mhairi has broad experience of conducting complex systematic reviews, including qualitative evidence of policy interventions, review of theories linking income and health, and research investigating the reporting of narrative synthesis methods of quantitative data in public health systematic reviews.
Dr Joanne McKenzie
Joanne is Co-Investigator on the SWiM guideline project. Joanne is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, Co-Convenor of the Statistical Methods Group, a member of the Bias Methods Group, statistical editor for the Consumers and Communication Review Group, and editor of Cochrane Methods. Her research interests include methodological issues in meta-analysis of randomised trials with continuous outcomes, selective inclusion and reporting of results in randomised trials and systematic reviews, and approaches to synthesising evidence in systematic reviews of policy, public health, and health service delivery interventions.
Dr Srinivasa Vittal Katikireddi
Vittal is Co-Investigator on the SWiM guideline project. Vittal is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow and an honorary Consultant in Public Health at NHS Health Scotland. His chief research interests are in improving the development and application of evidence to inform healthy public policy. He co-leads the Social and Public Health Sciences Unit research theme on the evaluation of natural experiments.
